This was the first recording of the Brahms Piano Trios that I became familiar with, and I immediately fell for the pieces, especially the B Major Trio. Unfortunately, the recording is no longer in print (I think it was made in the late 50s), but the pieces themselves have been recorded a zillion times. The link is to some musicians you might have heard of, a pianist named Rubinstein, and a somewhat more famous Fournier than the one on this recording. |
