Some may be surprised to find the darling of pops orchestras in the ccm, but there is good reasoning for it. There are different types of schlock, and Leroy Anderson was the embodiment of the best kind. With his solid craftsmanship, seemingly effortless sense of line, and winning sense of humor, Anderson knew how to pull all the right strings (!) without ever sounding like a cliche-fest.
