Current students will appreciate having a Scandinavian other than the ever-present and popular Dag Hammarskjöld to contemplate. This month: the neo-Romantic mathematician and composer, Nils Holger Petersen, a prominent figure in 20th-century Danish music. This recording was a gift from his son, Andreas, to me many years ago, and therefore carries a bit of sentimental meaning for me. Luckily the music is a good bit of fun, too! Enjoy.
