What a ridiculously difficult task this month to choose which of Ravel's many great orchestral masterpieces to put up from these wonderful Boulez performances! In the end I went with a work not originally for orchestra, but one which gained new life from Ravel's typically gorgeous orchestration.

Mother Goose is one of Ravel's most charming small works. Though it was expanded in the orchestral version, often only the suite is performed. This is the finale.
