This Gothic Voices recording is extremely well known, being the first ever a cappella recording of 14th century music. The performances are absolutely mesmerizing. As an extra bonus it should be noted that the stellar ensemble includes the fantastic Emma Kirkby.

At any rate, for me this is one of those "I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard this" recordings. I hope it is for you, too.
